Biggest Loser

So our school is having a biggest loser competition. Within the school and between two other schools. We're in competition with Knox and Canton for a traveling trophy...big deal, right... But we're also on teams of three for an in house competition. Apparently, I thought this was going to be a pretty individual low key event. Not so much. People are exercising like crazy and putting reminders out for their team members....fun, but wow...talk about having to stick to your NY resolutions.

Also, I have a headache. I'm not sure why. I haven't had one since getting my wisdom teeth done, which is pretty remarkable for me b/c in all honesty, I usually get a pretty severe headache at least once a day. I had been greatly relieved over the past week to be headache free. And then...tylenol doesn't usually do the trick... It's probably hormone related. You know, the one thing I have absolutely no control over. Oh well, suck it up, Tallman, and get on with your day! Yep, that's right, I just gave myself a pep talk on my blog. I'm really awesome like that.

And just because I feel like being nosy and want to see if you actually ever read what I write or if I totally bore you all to death....what's for dinner tonight? I cheated and "fixed" Casey's taco pizza last night and burnt the round steak on Monday, so I suppose since there isn't Sonlight tonight, I should actually fix something decent tonight. Ideas?!?!

Our school is doing the biggest loser too! Not sure what is for supper...I fixed these yummy ham sandwiches last night and we've had chili and homemade pizze recently. I was thinking something with ham...BBQ'd ham...I have some already cooked. Not sure. Are you doing the biggest loser thing?

I'm trying to go "no dairy" until Monday for Natalee's sake...do you know how hard it is to plan a meal in the midwest without dairy in it? HONESTLY! I'm thinking hamburgers (not cheeseburgers) and something simple like baked french fries. No dairy there right?

Corin, I tried tomato soup for the 1st time last week...I really wanted to like it because it smells so good and is so appealing on a cold day. Couldn't do it...is there a trick...do you doctor yours with something?

Yes, I'm doing the BL. Sounded like good motivation...why not, right? Thanks for the ideas! I thought about grilled chicken salads...but I'm not sure my husband would believe those are main course worthy! I'm thinking maybe big salads and a meat of some sort. I have ham steaks...that sounds good. I never make hamburgers..what's wrong with me? Hmmm...

i don't know what we are having. we are going to a basketball game in kv tonight and i don't want to eat out again b/c we ate at la fuente last night. so i am thinking breakfast food. but of course if i do this i have to make some kind of meat b/c jared can't eat any meal without meat! so i will make him a ham steak and then do pancakes and scrambled eggs for us. something fast and easy. good luck with the biggest loser. are you still working out in blfd?
btw: i love your new pic at top! looks great with your layout.

Jenn- I make my tomato soup with milk not water and I put a lot of cheese in it. And I like to crush Tostitos in it too. Not exactly going to help you while your on your non-dairy kick. Maybe you can try it again after Mon.

Well I will add to this blog of food that is making me hungry....ugh had soup for lunch and does not stick well. I wanted to make pork steak and mushroom gravy tonight, but have to head to KV so probably hamburgers and hot dogs with fries in the oven.

Yes I read your blog and like Corin said I guess i should reply more! Good luck on the BL challenge!

Last night we had scrambled eggs, toast, and bacon. Tonight I fixed taco pizza. My chicken wasn't thawed out yet so Casey's was a safe back up. Tomorrow I'm going to have the chicken. I fry it in just a little bit of oil and put cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper on it. YUMMY!! Lydia even loves it.

I'm doing something similar. The community center here has a New Year's Challenge! You get points for working out and drinking eight glasses of water and sleeping eight hours a night... stuff like that! Michael and I both joined the challenge. So far I am doing really good I started working out on Janurary 2nd and I have only taken one day off. I am also trying to eat less. I have already lost five pound (IN A WEEK). I know I won't keep that pase up very long but it feels pretty good to know I have accomplished something! Michael and I also have a side bet on who can lose the most so that will be interesting to see in three months where we are at! Keep me updated and let me know how you are doing!
Love ya,
Jamie
